***OR IF YOU DON'T REALLY CARE WHAT I HAVE TO SAY AND WANNA SKIP RIGHT TO A SUMMARY OF WHAT I'M OFFERING CLICK HERE TO JUMP AHEAD ***
Hi hi hi there, new friend,
Pardon the interruption, and thanks for stopping by to take a look at my work.
LIMITED RELEASE: Reminder on this page only you'll get an exclusive fine-art-preservation-quality print from one of my collections for free, and before it's displayed publicly.
It’s simple, really.
My name is Michael de la Guerra, I'm a writer and artist living in Los Angeles, and we’ve got similar enough tastes it seems, given I was able to snag your attention with my ad.
This means you might like my art, and I want to get it into the hands of as many people who might appreciate it as possible.
After walking away from a lucrative but unfulfilling career as an advertising copywriter and creative, I poured every last bit of creative energy I had into the "Scenes of Romantic Modernism" collection I'd like to share with you today.
Original Photography by Michael de la Guerra
It's a series of modern minimalist art pieces fused with contemporary prose exploring everything from the anxious butterflies of new love…
To the devastation of relationships corrupted by selfishness and addiction.
Original Photography by Michael de la Guerra
It captures both the fragile beauty and casual cruelties of love with raw, sometimes dark, comedic honesty. From despairing over being the "less attractive friend" to graphically depicting substance abuse's impact on a relationship, these works refuse to reduce love to its many worn out cliches.
And while this collection isn't even officially released yet, I'm making a handful of pieces exclusively available to people like you.
Let's face it - our world is overwhelmingly obsessed with cheapening the human experience into trendy, overly regurgitated categories.
Love and affection, and the labels we assign to them, have become self-help trends to be strip-mined for platitudes, mocked by social media "life coaches," and packaged into bite-sized distractions.
We're all being gaslit into believing romance has no profundity beyond temporary lust and endless connections with no meaning.
Maybe you've wanted to silence the shallowness parroted by all the armchair TikTok psychologists and let love exist in the messiness of its own mystery.
If so, this is your chance to be among the first to experience a controversial, new modern art and poetry collection.
Before I officially “release” a collection, I give away as many free prints as I can afford.
Gifting these prints to as many people as possible allows my work to reach a larger audience.
Which is worth more to me than anything else; if I was in it for the money, I’d have stayed in advertising.
Down below you can choose your favorite piece and I’ll personally get it printed for you on high-grade stock, with archival-quality processing, and get it out to you as quickly as possible.
To further show you my appreciation you’ll also get instant access to :
You won’t have to wait to start hanging pieces up on your wall.
You’ll get high-quality digital files of my bestselling designs that you can print yourself or have printed by a professional.
***I’m confident you’ll love the quality of your new art or I’ll refund what you paid, in full, and you can keep the print anyway.
(Or gift it to someone else, please, just don’t trash it or I’ll be sad.)
All you have to do if you’re not satisfied is contact me directly with the details on your receipt and I will personally refund every penny.
I take all the risk and we call it a day.
***NOTE: ONLY ONE PER PERSON, and…
Only a handful of pieces from this controversial new collection will be distributed.
I want to reach as many people as possible with the limited resources I have, but if this page is still up, we’re in good shape to get you a print (once I’m out the page comes down).
If you have any questions, you can send me an email at assistant@michaeldelaguerra.com
I know your time is valuable, so I appreciate your attention and interest.
And I can't wait to send you your new art print.
- Michael de la Guerra
by Michael de la Guerra
From butterflies and first dates to personal tragedies and heartbreak, this collection celebrates the poetic and profound beauty still found within love and romance in the modern age. Addiction, infidelity, insomnia, and even the ethics of sleeping with a teacher from childhood are themes artist Michael de la Guerra explores through masterful visual and written storytelling. These works pay homage to the depths of love's nuance through a distinctly contemporary lens that marries timeless motifs with a minimalist aesthetic sensibility. Each piece combines thought-provoking poetic verse with elegant design, capturing slices of romantic life in stylishly simplistic compositions.
This collection is crafted for the artistic romantic, the hopeless modernist sap, the aesthete who stubbornly believes in life's whimsical possibilities despite the jadedness of today's world. It serves as a reminder that love—much like art—remains a conceptual wonder worth reverently exploring and artistically immortalizing, even in modern form.
These are stunning. Always impressed by your artistic endeavors, and your commitment to quality and how it almost becomes a characteristic of the art. Bravo, Michael.

Incredible. I love how you incorporated your poetic talent into a larger format. It's really great. I love each piece you sent me, and I even bought a few more for my sister.

Excellent stuff, sir. You are great at combining visuals with words, just as you are at designing them both separately. And the print quality is superb.

Omg, I love these floral prints so much. Thank you for the extra set. They're all so beautiful and your poetry is amazing. I'm so glad I own one of your very first art prints to ever go on sale!

Never surprised by the the thought you put into every detail down to the material these are printed on, but I am always surprised by the artistic ingenuity in your work. These will live with me and the fam wherever we go.

I wish my girlfriend looked at me the way she looks at the prints I bought her. Not sure how to feel, but thank you for the surprise bonuses, and regardless of my envy, your commitment to quality deserves credit.

Original Design & Poetry

Original Design, Photography, & Poetry
A free verse poetic essay on the people who've mastered love and what we can learn from them.
To wake up in bed together
Just you and me
With all our wounds
I’d kiss you all over
So I could see
Those hidden parts
Where you’re still bruised
For reasons I won’t assume;
Moments we share seem to bloom;
Brighter in the garden of your wounds.
And I hope you glow that way
In the next life, too,
So I can follow the same path
Home, to you.
You seem like someone I should get to know.
Just don’t get too close.
Or I’ll never let you go.
Some people are very good at love
It’s true: rare cases of couples married in youth
A long complicated life ending in the death of one
Always followed soon by the other, too
When I see people are good at stuff
I ask them about it
The ones I’ve asked about love
Always say it’s hard
They’ve suffered for what they have
And know they’re lucky to have found it
Sure, skill, talent, and luck—
Like every unfair advantage in life
In romance, these can all play a part
But to truly love someone forever
Is not for the faint of heart
It’s why people run away
And why they play games
It’s why the love-adept beings I talk to
First seem to look away
When I ask for their secret
I watch them reflect on the pain
How they’ve considered leaving some days
Seeing it easier to flee than to stay
The “secret” in some form or another
Is that it’s not always pretty
Like all roads paved by desire
We’re stuck in the mess of life’s mercy
We can work hard for what we want
Again and again
But the big risk we face
Is getting nothing at all in the end
There’s a joke about love
Being corny and dumb
Living inside me somewhere
Right next to the part of me
That’s tired and scared
Grateful but worn out
By my own brief encounters
With love before they vanished
It’s why I envy the masters
Because I’m just so damn bad at it.
Michael, who are you? I'm forever in awe of you and what you create. You're like this amazing visual artist and poet. I got stuff in the mail today and I was like, what? My boy. He's so talented. I'm so excited. They're beautiful. I honestly want to get them framed and put up on the wall right away. They're so beautiful. Hauntingly beautiful.

I'm so confident you'll be blown away by the craftsmanship of your print that I'm putting my money where my mouth is.
If for whatever reason you aren't satisfied, simply notify me.
I'll refund every penny you paid for shipping and handling.
And you can keep the print.
In a world increasingly consumed by disposable digital media, choosing to own a museum-quality physical art print is a statement.
It's a commitment to surrounding yourself with enduring artistic cognizance you can hold, feel, and connect with forever.
Because this is about more than just buying art.
When your new artwork slips out into your hands I want you to know this: you’re making an investment.
These are not throwaway decor pieces destined for basement boxes or thrift stores in a few years.
Each print is produced on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper—a museum-grade stock rated for over 100 years of display life before any fading or deterioration occurs. This isn't the cheap stuff - Fujicolor's proprietary coating and materials lock in a breathtaking tonal range, vibrant colors, and profound density for more than a century.
Just as the artistic concepts I explored in this collection transcend eras and artistic movements, so too do the physical prints endure as perpetual sources of inspiration.
Whether hung proudly as a centerpiece over your writing desk or on any sort of personal sanctuary's halls, your archival-quality print will remain for decades upon decades.
Long after trends have come and gone, digital platforms have evolved and collapsed, your print will endure as a permanent conceptual rendering of our current moment in time.
I'm giving away as many free prints as I can to build an audience of passionate art collectors and lovers of the modern romantic aesthetic. Once these initial pieces are claimed, the collection's official release will be offered at full price.
If you appreciate craftsmanship and want to enrich your space, don't let this chance pass you by.
