This Japandi Collection II represents a sophisticated fusion of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian design principles, creating a harmonious trilogy that speaks to both aesthetic traditions. Each piece works independently yet contributes to a cohesive narrative when displayed as a set.

  • About the Artwork

The composition progresses from left to right, telling a story of simplicity evolving into complexity:

"PARALLEL MOON" anchors the collection with its contemplative simplicity. The soft grey circle, reminiscent of a winter moon, creates a gentle counterpoint to the strong vertical lines, embodying the Japanese concept of 'Ma' - the meaningful negative space between elements.

"GEOMETRIC CORAL" introduces architectural elements and a warm coral accent, bridging austere minimalism with modern design. The composition plays with balance and asymmetry, incorporating principles of modernist design while maintaining Japanese aesthetic restraint.

"BRUSHSTROKE HARMONY" completes the narrative with expressive calligraphic strokes that channel the spontaneity of Zen brush painting. The dynamic black marks represent the release of controlled energy, a visual metaphor for finding freedom within structure.

The consistent framing device across all three pieces - a simple black border with the artist's red chop mark - unifies the collection while paying homage to traditional Japanese presentation. Each piece is intentionally spaced to allow proper visual breathing room, encouraging contemplation of both the individual works and their relationship to each other.

The neutral palette, punctuated by measured uses of coral and black, ensures these pieces can adapt to various interior styles while maintaining their strong artistic presence. This collection embodies the core principles of Japandi design: simplicity, natural elements, and the beauty of imperfection.

Michael, these are so beautiful, thank you. I mean, I "knew" you cared about quality but these prints are beautiful.

Excellent stuff, sir. You are great at combining visuals with words, just as you are at designing them both separately. And the print quality is superb.

Omg, I love these floral prints so much. Thank you for the extra set. They're all so beautiful and your poetry is amazing. I'm so glad I own one of your very first art prints to ever go on sale!

Never surprised by the the thought you put into every detail down to the material these are printed on, but I am always surprised by the artistic ingenuity in your work. These will live with me and the fam wherever we go.

I wish my girlfriend looked at me the way she looks at the prints I bought her. Not sure how to feel, but thank you for the surprise bonuses, and regardless of my envy, your commitment to quality deserves credit.
